Economic Development Strategy

The Shire of Mundaring's vision is for "a vibrant community that provides opportunities and support for people to enjoy a rich mix of sustainable hills lifestyles."

 As part of its support for delivery of that vision, the Shire has produced a comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. 

 The Economic Development Strategy is designed to integrate with the Key Strategic Objectives outlined in the Shire of Mundaring Strategic Plan 2007 - 2010:

 Key Objective 1 - Encourage environmentally sustainable development

Key Objective 2 - Increase business and employment opportunities in the Shire of Mundaring.

 These Key Strategic Objectives are underpinned by a number of objectives, strategies and action plans in the Economic Development Strategy addressing:

  • Sustainable development
  • Marketing and branding
  • Employment and skills development
  • Transport
  • Tourism
  • Business development
  • Business support and facilitation
