Update on Lot 84 Strettle Road, Glen Forrest

FURTHER to precautionary information released last week, Shire of Mundaring wishes to advise the community that at this time the Shire has not been made aware of any significant or elevated public health risk associated with the former landfill at Lot 84 (440) Strettle Road.

Residents had previously been warned of potential health risks associated with the Glen Forrest property following recent site investigations that left formerly buried building debris and rubble exposed.

The material, uncovered by a third party in excavation works, included small quantities of bonded asbestos-containing material.

Following the precautionary warning issued last week in the interest of the public's safety, the Shire wishes to advise that on all available information it is satisfied that the site possesses negligible risk to human health.

Please refer to the Information Sheet for further details.  ‚Äč
