There are five (5) main subcatchments in the Shire and the Eastern Hills Catchment Management Project (EHCMP) and local catchment groups assist in their management.

Swan Mundaring Community Catchments Project (SMCCP) Plan (2000)

The SMCCP was the precursor to the current Eastern Hills Catchment Management Project (EHCMP) and was initiated in 1996 as a partnership program between the City of Swan and Shire of Mundaring, the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council, Agriculture WA adn the Wooroloo Brook Land Conservation District Committee.
