Darlington Skate Park

Skating is a popular past time for many young people in the Shire of Mundaring; so much so that in response the Shire has built four Skate Parks in the area. Skate Parks in the Shire of Mundaring are located in:

DARLINGTON: Pine Terrace, DarlingtonDarlington Skate Park
The Darlington Skate Park was completed in early 2002 and has proved to be a great attraction for young people from across the Shire.
It consists of flat banks, a big fun box with hips on the side and a rail down the middle, smooth 4ft quarter and a small hip.

SWAN VIEW: Brown Park Recreation Centre, Swan View
The Swan View Skate Park is a smaller modular type park situated behind Brown Park Recreation Centre.

MUNDARING: Hartung Street, Mundaring
Mundaring Skate Park was completed in 2004. It is situated on the west side of the Harry Riseborough Oval.

MOUNT HELENA: Grahame Street, Mt Helena
The Mount Helena Skate Park was completed in 2004. It is situated on the west side of Elsie Austin Reserve.

The Skate Parks have been built in consultation with young people. Meetings were held and information displayed in school libraries asking for comments. This information was then sent to the Skate Park design company and incorporated in the final design where possible.
