The Shire of Mundaring prides itself on being a leader in the provision of quality children services. As these are offered with a regional focus, the Administration Centre for Children Services is situated in Midvale, which lies within the boundaries of the neighbouring City of Swan.

The programs operated by the Shire of Mundaring are supported by the Commonwealth Government and aim to provide quality care to children while their parents are working, studying or requiring respite.

Midvale Early Childhood and Parenting Centre

The Midvale Early Childhood and Parenting Centre is a community based centre offering a long day care program for children between the ages of birth and five years. Housed in a well-equipped, purpose-built facility the Centre offers full time/part time care and a Kindergarten program for four year olds.

Qualified and committed staff provide educationally based developmental programs designed according to individual needs and interests. A parenting focus is also offered to families with information sessions based on preparing children for school, learning for life and emotional intelligence and linking parents into local parent support groups. Midvale Early Childhood and Parenting Centre also provides Playgroups during school term.
