Description Of Service

The Aboriginal Child Health Team is staffed by Community Health Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers.  The team provides ongoing support for Aboriginal families with children up to the age of 5 years old.  We provide culturally appropriate and culturally sensitive health care that can be provided in the home or at our centre based in Midvale.  We promote growth, development and wellbeing of Aboriginal children by conducting child health and development assessments, assisting parents with strengthening parenting skills and referring families to other community services as needed.
