Aboriginal Health Services are staffed by registered nurses and Aboriginal Health workers. The Aboriginal Health Services offers antenatal support and referral, ongoing support for families up to the age of 5 years old, assess child health and development after discharge from hospital, act as a link between hospital and community, work as a broader health team. Provide information and conduct immunisation clinics. Act as a link between hospitals and the community, working with family GPs and other health professionals when necessary. Work as part of a broader health team and refer to audiologists, paediatricians, physiotherapists, podiatrists, psychologists, specialised health educators, speech therapist and social workers.
Referral: Self referral/other agency referral/child health centre referral.
