The Shire of Mundarings 10,000 Step Challenge is now an ongoing program with pedometers available from the libraries and log books downloadable from here

Feel Better, Look Better, Live Longer

The Shire of Mundaring is very excited to announce the 10,000 Steps Challenge is now available to all residents as an ongoing program. This program is specifically designed for the residents of the area to help improve their overall health and wellbeing. The 10,000 steps project encourages participants to increase the amount of physical activity they participate in everyday, by monitoring how many steps they take during the day.

Anyone who would like to participate has the opportunity to borrow a walking pedometer free of charge from one of the shires' libraries. The pedometer records the number of steps taken, the distance walked each day and the kilojoules burned. A log book is used so that the number of steps taken each day can be recorded.

Best of all this is a Free Program provided by the Shire of Mundaring in conjunction with The Department of Sport and Recreation. So please enter the site and find out all the details.

Please phone Cathryn Hewitt on 9290 6706 or email cathrynhewitt@mundaring.wa.gov.au if you have other questions.
