Membership and Borrowing

Membership is free and open to everyone. 

To join the library you need:

  • proof of current name
  • proof of current residential address
  • details of a second contact.

People under 18 years of age who wish to join need to be accompanied by a legal guardian who needs to sign for the membership. Refer to the Membership Terms and Conditions.

Join online

If you find something you want to place a hold on in our catalogue but do not have library membership, you may join online. Proof of name and address need to be supplied when you attend the library to sign for and pick up your membership card.

Visitor membership

Visitors and temporary residents may join the library. All you need is proof of your name and residential address as well as details of the address you are staying at for your visit and a second contact address.

What you can borrow

Adult 
nine books, magazines or audiobooks, six DVDs, six CDs, two CD-ROMs

Young Adult (12+) 
nine books, magazines, audiobooks, six DVDs, four CDs, two CD-ROMs

Children
nine books, magazines or audiobooks, four DVDs, two CDs, one CD-ROM

Visitor
six items (any format)

The loan period for all items is three weeks, unless otherwise advised.

Members are also encouraged to review library policies for Unaccompanied Children and Refunds.
