Home > Your Community > Youth Space > Munaring Bicentennial Scholarship Trust

The Mundaring Bicentennial Scholarship Trust was established to provide scholarships for deserving young artists, to enable them to pursue the improvement and development of their artistic ability or talent.

People who are under the age of 25 years on 31 December in the year of application and, who are currently or, for a significant part of their lives have been, associated with Mundaring Shire through residence, study or work, will be eligible to apply for an Award. All forms of art will be considered - for example, visual arts, craft, performing arts, literature, film, music.

The Deed of the Trust defines "deserving young artists" as persons who, in the opinion of the Trustees, have displayed special ability, talent or potential in any of the arts and who are in need of financial assistance to enable them to receive or pursue education, instruction, study or training for the improvement and development of that artistic ability, talent or potential.

One or more Scholarships may be awarded each year. The amount of individual Scholarships is at the Judges’ discretion but, as a guide, the maximum award in the past has usually been in the range of $1,000 to $3,000.

For more information about the award, please read the information booklet.
