Access All Areas - Disability, Access and Inclusion

The Shire of Mundaring is committed to building a truly inclusive community that celebrates diversity and recognises the importance of including all people.

We believe that by recognising the abilities and unique contributions of all members of our community we will grow, develop and continue to be a vibrant place to live, work and visit.

Inclusion and disAbility Access Advisory Committee (IDAAC)

The IDAAC provides an interface between the Community and the Shire in all matters related to access and equity. We identify and advise the Shire's officers, and Councillors, of all and any issues relating to access within the Shire. We can also recommend possible solutions, working within and alongside the guidelines of the Shire's Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.

All committee members are personally committed to achieving the best possible results not simply with regard to physical access, but perhaps more importantly, the inclusion of people with disabilities, in the life of the community.
