Youth Space is the place for young people to access information about services for them in the Shire of Mundaring. Events, services, counselling, help for school projects, your local Youth Advisory Committee and the Shire's youth policies are all available here.
Seen and Heard Youth Service
Seen and Heard is a program funded by the Shire of Mundaring and delivered to the community via Parkerville Children and Youth Care. This FREE service is available for young people aged between 12 - 18 years and who reside in the Shire of Mundaring.
Seen and Heard staff work with young people to create local events and recreational activities whilst developing confidence and skills. Seen and Heard staff can provide support with relationships, school, work and health and are able to make referrals when appropriate.
Parkerville Children and Youth Care has been providing services for young people, families and the community with physical, emotional, educational, social and spiritual needs since 1903.

Swan View Youth Centre
This service is funded by Department for Community Development and delivered to the community by the Hills Community Support Group. The Shire of Mundaring contributes funding towards music, multimedia, art and recreation based workshops conducted at the Swan View Youth Centre.
Youth workers are available to talk with young people during opening hours.

Parent and Adolescent Counselling Services.
This service is for families, parents, care-givers, and adolescents who are experiencing conflict within parent/adolescent relationships. It is not necessary for the families to be co-habiting or for all individuals to attend counselling.
It is expected the level of conflict will be at the top end of the scale, rather than average parent /adolescent arguments, deemed to be normal. The service is:
- mobile - clients can be seen in a variety of venues
- culturally aware
- confidential
- provides appropriate links to other services
- provided by a suitably qualified practitioner
- free and is funded by the Department for Community Development
