Reasons for Survey
Every two years the Shire of Mundaring carries out a community perception survey, which provides the Shire with an opportunity to measure community satisfaction with resources, facilities and services provided by the Shire and to understand and monitor community well-being.
The community's input into the survey is valued and appreciated. The results provide support for strategic decisions when preparing for our Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan and helps to inform more targeted engagement.
The Survey Process
- A statistically robust survey conducted via a telephone survey with a sample of 402 community members across the Shire of Mundaring area in May 2019.
- Data collection was managed to quota targets by age and gender, and post data collection the sample has been weighted so it is aligned with known population distributions as contained in the ABS Census 2016.
- At an aggregate level, the sample has an expected 95% confidence interval (margin of error) of ± 4.8%
