Arena set to light up this school holidays

‚ÄčMundaring Arena is set to transform on Saturday 10 April, as the Shire delivers its final, free Summer of Entertainment event.

A youth-only event for 12 to 17 year olds, Arena after Dark will bring something new to the area with live DJs, a giant ninja obstacle course, arcade games, chill zone and a light show.

Shire of Mundaring President, John Daw, said the event would be the highlight of the school holiday calendar for teens in the region.

"The Shire has worked with local youth and youth organisations to create an event that meets their needs and interests," Cr Daw said.

"It will be a safe event, with food and drinks on sale and adult supervision to ensure that everyone has a fun night out."

Tickets are required for the free event.

Those attending will need to be dropped off and collected by a responsible adult.

"There will be no pass outs, and those who need to leave early must be collected and signed out by a parent or guardian," Cr Daw added.

Doors open at 7pm and activities will run until 10pm, with all attendees to be collected by 10.15pm.

External food and drink will not be permitted.

The event is supported by funding from Lotterywest and will be delivered in partnership with Headspace Midland and Swan City Youth Service.
