Cinema under Starlight 2016

**Please note the screening of Minions has been rescheduled to Saturday 13 February.**

FAMILIES can enjoy free movies under the stars in 2016 with the return of Shire of Mundaring’s popular outdoor movies.

The Cinema Under Starlight series will see four movies screened over January and February.

Shire President David Lavell said the first screening would be Night at the Museum 3 at Darlington Oval on Friday 8 January.

Inside Out will screen at Mundaring Recreation Oval on Saturday 16 January and Wooroloo Primary School will host Minions on Saturday 30 January.

“The fourth movie will be Paper Planes which screens on Saturday 6 February at Parkerville Oval,” Cr Lavell said.

“A lot of local children were extras in this film when the football scenes were filmed in Gidgegannup so there is a great connection to the area. People will be able to come along and try spot their friends in the movie.

“We will also hold a paper plane throwing competition on the evening before the film begins.”

Cinema Under Starlight is a free series of movies provided during the school holidays.

“This is a great time for family and friends to get together and enjoy the warm weather,” Cr Lavell said.

“Gates open at 6pm and there are face painters at each screening. Food and refreshments are available for sale at each event. Films begin around 8pm once the sun goes down.”

People can bring a blanket or chair to sit on. For more information call 9290 6773 or visit
