As the three-day snap lockdown for Perth and Peel ends, please be advised that all Shire-run facilities will re-open from Tuesday 27 April, with some limitations.
The limitations are in line with the range of interim restrictions announced by the State government today for the next four days (Tuesday 27 April until 12.01am Saturday 1 May):
- Masks must be worn in public at indoor and outdoor areas.
- A four-square metre capacity rule is in place at all Shire facilities, including Shire of Mundaring Libraries, the Perth Hills Mundaring Visitor Centre and recreation facilities.
- A maximum of 20 patrons will be allowed in Shire facilities at all times. Please note, for smaller facilities such as Mundaring Library (where the capacity limit is 12 people), this number may vary from facility to facility.
- Community sports, including training, can recommence, but without spectators.
The full list of interim restrictions can be found on the WA website
We’re pleased to advise that some of our most loved places and spaces, including Lake Leschenaultia and all outdoor playgrounds, will be open!
The Shire Reception is open as normal at our Administration Building.
The Shire's Community Recycling Centres are open. For opening hours please visit the Community Recycling Centre page.
All visitors are reminded to wear a mask and sign in via the SafeWA app or hardcopy register before entering our facilities.
Shire run events
Unfortunately, the interim restrictions will affect some Shire events and meetings planned for this week. We are working to reschedule them where possible, or announce patron limits if the activities can proceed in accordance to COVID-safe regulations.
