THIS weekend's screening of Zootopia at Wooroloo Primary School has been rescheduled due to forecast rain. The film will now be screened (come rain, hail or shine!) on Saturday 1 April at the same time and location.
To avoid a repeat cancellation, the movie will now be screened in the school's under-cover area rather than outdoors. Families are encouraged to bring low-backed chairs and blankets to sit on.
The Wooroloo screening will mark the final event in the Shire of Mundaring's popular Cinema Under the Starlight program.
Shire President David Lavell said it had been wonderful to see families getting out of the house and enjoying the free event at local parks and ovals.
"Kids and adults alike can also enjoy the pre-show activities, which makes for a great night," Cr Lavell said.
Doors open at 6pm with a range of pre-screening activities on offer including face-painting and a sausage sizzle. Proceeds from the sausage sizzle will support the Wooroloo Primary School Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association.
A limited number of free ice cream and coffee vouchers will also be available, with local community groups selling additional food and refreshments.
The film will start at 7.15pm. For more information, please contact Mundaring Shire Events Officer Kelly Marshall at Kelly.Marshall@mundaring.wa.gov.au or call 9290 6715.
