KidSport

About the grant and eligibility

Children aged five to 18 and named on a valid health care card or pension concession card may be eligible to receive up to $150 per year towards club fees or swimming lessons for registered KidSport Clubs.

In 2021, applicants can apply for a second bonus voucher valued up to $150. Eligibility criteria for both vouchers applies.

How to apply

Apply for your first KidSport voucher in three easy steps:

  1. Check your child is eligible
  2. Find an approved KidSport Club
  3. Apply online

Become a registered KidSport Club

Clubs help thousands of Western Australian children experience the benefits of belonging to a sporting club each year.

Help more families and children find the benefits of community sport by registering with KidSport to become a KidSport approved club.

Approved KidSport clubs receive:

  • Promotion on the public Find a KidSport club page
  • Access to the online KidSport club portal
  • Access to redeem vouchers as payment for applicant's club fees
  • Access to materials to promote your sport in the community

Applications to become a KidSport club can be made on the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries website.

KidSport is delivered by the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries in partnership with Local Governments throughout Western Australia and is supported by Lotterywest.
