Payment Options

There are a number of options for you paying your rates, which are due and payable within 35 days of the issue date of the rate notice. In order to maximise services to ratepayers, the Shire encourages the prompt payment of rates and other charges.

Bpoint - Click the button on the left to pay your bills online with Mastercard or Visa.

BPay - Contact your participating financial institution to arrange payment from your cheque, savings or credit card account.

In person

Present your notice INTACT at the Shire's Administration Centre, 7000 Great Eastern Highway Mundaring, pay with cash, cheque, debit card, Mastercard or Visa.

Australia Post - Present your notice INTACT at any Australia Post Office or Agency for payment, pay with cash, cheque, debit card, Mastercard or Visa.

Payment options

For your convenience, there are three options for you to choose from when it comes to paying your rates:

Option 1 – Payment IN FULL by 31 August 2021

Option 2 – Payment via four equal INSTALMENTS

To qualify for instalments, the exact amount shown at Option 2 on your Rates Notice must be received in one whole payment by 31 August 2021.

  • First instalment due 31 August 2021

  • Second instalment due 02 November 2021

  • Third instalment due 10 January 2022

  • Fourth instalment due 14 March 2022
Option 3 - Alternative payment arrangements/direct debit

Requests for payment arrangements and/or direct debits must be notified to the Shire Rates team (9290 6617) prior to the due date specified on your Rates Notice.

Please be aware that the following conditions apply:

  • Interest charges at the rate of 7% per annum on any arrears as well as current rates and charges outstanding after 01 September 2021. Interest will continue to accrue daily until balance is settled in full.

The Shire also has a COVID-19 Financial Hardship Policy, which details the Shire's position on:

  • Payment difficulties, hardship and vulnerability;

  • Anticipated financial hardship due to the pandemic;

  • A criteria for financial hardship;

  • Payment arrangements;

  • Suspension or deferment of interest charges;

  • Deferment of rates for ratepayers holding a;

    • Pensioner Card

    • State Concession Card

    • Commonwealth Seniors Card with a  Seniors Card

  • Suspension of debt recovery
