Clean up

Question

How is Disaster Relief Australia assisting with the clean up?

Answer

A team from Disaster Relief Australia, a non-profit organisation that unites the skills and experience of military veterans with emergency services specialists after a natural disaster, will conduct bushfire clean-up and recovery activities around the Shire of Mundaring and City of Swan from 28 February until 4 April.

The Damage Assessment Team will visit the area to see what work needs to be done. This includes assisting private property owners. Work provided to community residents will include chainsaw operations, debris management and removal, fence line and small civil works. Real hands on help!

If you would like assistance in undertaking clean up works on your property please email info@disasterreliefaus.org or visit www.disasterreliefaus.org.

Please note, this work is separate to the Wooroloo Bushfire Coordinated Residential Clean-up Program announced in late February.

For more information on the Wooroloo Bushfire Coordinated Residential Clean-up Program please call 9290 6743 or visit www.mundaring.wa.gov.au and select the Wooroloo Fire tab - Clean up.
