Replacement documentation


If you lost your birth, marriage or change of name certificate in the bushfire, the team at the Recovery Centre can help you organise a replacement. Please drop in to see the team in person and bring any ID you have. Percy Cullen Oval and Pavilion, 1990 Toodyay Road, Gidgegannup in Gidgegannup. 




Fees waived for Department of Transport WA 

To assist the community to recover, Department of Transport WA have waived fees for those who have been directly impacted by the bushfires for the following:

  • Replacement vehicle number plates (ordinary state or district plates);
  • Certified copies of licences for vehicles destroyed in the bushfires;
  • Replacement driver’s licence card (including an extraordinary driver’s licence and learner's permit);
  • Replacement WA Photo Card;
  • Replacement Learner Log Book;
  • Recreational Skipper’s Tickets; and
  • Boat registration papers

Wooroloo Fire: Shire thanks tireless fire fighters

​Shire of Mundaring has extended its sincere thanks and gratitude to the emergency workers, front line service providers and government agencies who banded together in the fight against the fire which tore through Perth's eastern region last week.

​Bushfire Community Recovery Centre - opened on Monday 8 February

A Bushfire Community Recovery Centre has opened at Percy Cullen Oval and Pavilion, 1990 Toodyay Road, Gidgegannup in Gidgegannup. 

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm 
                          Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 Februrary, 10am to 4pm

This centre will provide a range of support services to help local residents get back on their feet including:
  • ADRA Australia
  • Minderoo Foundation
  • The Salvation Army WA
  • Department of Communities
  • Centrelink
  • Australian Red Cross - WA
  • RAC WA
  • Western Power
  • Insurance information
  • Shire of Mundaring
  • City of Swan
  • Access Permits

Shire of Mundaring residents are no longer required to have an access permit to enter the area. 





Animal Welfare​

Residents in fire affected areas - or who have evacuated and can't get back to their properties - who are concerned about the welfare of injured or stranded animals can contact the Shire on 9290 6666 and press option 8 to speak to an operator.

Shire staff will put you in touch with agencies and vets who can help.



Insurance Council of Australia has declared the Perth Hills bush fires a catastrophe

This declaration means claims from the Wooroloo bush fire will be prioritised by insurers, and they will be focussing on reducing the immense emotional and finanancial stress experienced by the residents and businesses.





Community Recovery Centres

Percy Cullen Oval and buildings have been established as a Bushfire Community Recovery Centre from 10am Monday 8 February. Percy Cullen is located at 1990 Toodyay Rd, Gidgegannup WA 6083
