KSP Workshop: So You Want To Find The Truth In The Detail
Past Event
In this workshop, Eleanor will explore the art of researching and choosing the right details crucial to making stories come to life.
Details are what turn ordinary writing into extraordinary writing. They are what give our stories that element of recognition; they allow the reader to suspend belief. Whether it is fiction, non-fiction or memoir, the things we choose to put in are important, and we need to choose them wisely and consider what to leave out.
During the workshop, you will use the distributed images and find ordinary detail to write a paragraph about. You will use all five senses and descriptive language, but also include active verbs rather than excessive adjectives.
Target Audience: Writers at any stage who require more information for their writing.
