If you have wanted to start saving seeds, but haven't been sure how, or just need some inspiration, this informative talk will help.

Gina will cover:

  • Choosing the seeds and plants you want to grow for this area
  • Growing and picking the plants/seeds you want to retain for seeds
  • Processing seeds
  • Storing seeds.

You will see some seed processing and storage solutions, as well as view a hands-on seed processing demonstration.

About Gina Danaia: Gina is an organic grower living in Stoneville, Western Australia with over 120 different fruit trees including stone fruits, citrus, native fruit trees and tropical fruit trees. She’s been a dedicated gardener since 2012, growing organic fruit and vegetables, and selling excess produce to the community. Gina assisted in the setting up of the Mundaring Seed Library and has been providing a steady stream of organic seeds to the Seed Library collection. Gina runs workshops on seed collecting and pruning in her spare time, and teaches mechanical fitting and machining at Midland TAFE during work hours.
