New series offers bird's eye view of Perth Hills

THE Visitor Centre in the Shire of Mundaring is about to showcase some of the lesser known attractions and amazing experiences available in this stunning pocket of WA.

Working with local production company, Skyworks WA, a unique range of aerial and street footage has been captured to form a series of 30 second themed videos known as Perth Hills Mundaring Naturally.

Each provides a glimpse into a range of different experiences and spectacular locations within the Shire, all of which contribute to its village style ambience and charm.

First cab off the rank is Naturally Inspiring. It takes the viewer on a journey through the region with a focus on historical landmarks, including well-known attractions such as the iconic Mundaring Weir.

The Railway Reserves Heritage Trail features throughout the Perth Hills Mundaring – Naturally series, providing a connection between various tourism experiences such as natural attractions, outdoor activities, wining and dining, arts and entertainment, all available locally.

Over the next six months, the Perth Hills Mundaring - Naturally series will be shared with the local and wider community. Some may be surprised to discover experiences that they didn't know were available on their own doorstep. There's abseiling and mountain bike riding for people looking for soft adventure. In contrast, there's the beautiful John Forrest National Park and ever popular freshwater Lake Leschenaultia for those looking for a relaxing picnic spot in an idyllic location.

When you see you the Perth Hills Mundaring - Naturally series for the first time, it's hard to imagine the Shire of Mundaring is only a 40 minute drive from the CBD. A leisurely drive 'up the hill' as it is commonly referred to, offers trails and backroads winding through spectacular forests and national parks.

The Visitor Centre is extremely proud to be able to bring the Perth Hills Mundaring - Naturally series to the local community, prospective day-trippers and even to people living interstate or overseas. Once people have had a taste of the many and varied experiences on offer in the Shire of Mundaring– captured through Skyworks WA technology –  Perth Hills Mundaring and the wider Perth Hills region could become one of Western Australia's top visitor destinations.
