The Shire is proud to have recently awarded four Community Event Grants, 15 Matching Grants and one Milestone Event Grant.
Successful applicants collectively received $24,055.45 in grant funding with a diverse and vibrant mix of community groups presenting original ideas and projects.
From funding for equipment and infrastructure to special events, festivals and even a Bush Dance, it will be exciting see how these funds will be used to enrich and benefit our community.
The Grants Selection Committee met in April and enjoyed an engaging session to decide the qualifying groups.
A highlight of the meeting was hearing from members of the Darlington Community Garden Group. The group shared their mosaic pathway project idea, displaying a sample of the mosaic work for the Committee to visualise the finished concept.
