InspireArts Fund to support local talent

Shire of Mundaring has launched a new creativity and cultural fund. The InspireArts Community Creativity and Cultural Fund will support individuals, community groups and organisations in their artistic and culturally focused endeavours in the shire.   

The fund was adopted as part of a broader Community Funding Policy and will support individuals, community groups and organisations in their artistic and culturally focused endeavours in the shire.

Shire President James Martin said the funding will be instrumental in promoting active participation of residents and will assist local artists to develop initiatives that support the Shire’s vision for the community.

“The Shire is part of a vibrant arts scene, and our creative economy is extremely important to us,” he said.   

“This is a way for us to acknowledge the outstanding and positive contribution of our creative community.”

$8321 in funding available

The fund which is worth $8321 will allow individual applicants to apply for up to $1000 and community groups to apply for up to $2000.

Individuals and groups can apply for funding to support their creative and cultural endeavours in the community including for workshops, exhibitions, artist in residence programs, equipment and venue hire and promotion.
