My Mundaring Online goes live

Shire of Mundaring residents will be able to enjoy greater benefits of connecting to popular Shire services with the launch of its first online portal

My Mundaring Online was launched earlier today, Monday 1 August with residents encouraged to sign-up online.

Shire President James Martin said the portal will bring together services residents can access at the click of a button, anywhere, anytime.

“At the moment residents can pay their rates, register their dogs or cats, raise a service request, find their bin day and Bulk Waste Collection dates, or request a permit to burn online via various sections of the Shire’s website,” he said.

“Residents will now be able to use the portal to have quick and easy access to these services in one convenient place.”

Community Recycling Centre (CRC) entry pass

The launch of the portal will also enable users to download an electronic Community Recycling Centre (CRC) entry pass as a photo image to their mobile phone or to print a paper version of the CRC entry pass.

Cr Martin said the ability to download an electronic pass was an exciting addition to the Shire’s online service offering.

“In the past, a hardcopy CRC entry pass was posted with the annual rates notice,” he said.

Residents who have registered for e-Rates also received a hardcopy CRC entry pass. Now they will be emailed the printable CRC entry pass and a link to access the portal to download the electronic version.

“This means that residents don’t have to use the traditional printed entry pass to access the centres and have it clipped by the staff to keep track of how many visits the ratepayer has had,” added Cr Martin.

Register for eRates

Residents who have not registered for eRates or can’t access My Mundaring Online will still receive a hardcopy CRC entry pass with their rates notices this year.

Cr Martin encouraged residents to sign-up to the e-Rates program, stating that it was a benefit to the environment to cut down on paper usage, printing and postage cost and waste.

“For those who have not yet signed up for e-Rates, they can join the program via the eRates page by Friday 5 August,” he said.
