Shire of Mundaring will be holding a Candidate Information Session on Wednesday 23 August (subject to change based on WA Electoral Commission availability and registered interest).

The Candidate Information Session, commencing at 6pm in the Committee Room at the Shire's Administration Building, will explain:

• how to become a council member
• the role of the council members
• what commitment is required
• how to nominate
• what you will be paid; and 
• much more.

The session will be facilitated by CEO, Jonathan Throssell with a presentation from a current council member. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions during the evening.

Local Government Ordinary Elections

The next local government ordinary elections for the Shire will be held on Saturday 21 October 2023. There are vacancies for:

• Office of directly elected Shire President (4 year term, expiring 2027)
• East Ward Councillor (4 year term, expiring 2027)
• Central Ward Councillor (4 year term, expiring 2027)
