Shire of Mundaring has received a $1.08M grant for a 2.2km shared path along Rosedale Road in Chidlow.

A three metre wide path will replace the existing asphalt and gravel path along Rosedale Road and link the Heritage Trail in Chidlow Village Green to recreational facilities at Lake Leschenaultia.

Deputy Shire President Paige McNeil said the project is fully funded by the State Government as part of the McGowan Government’s election commitment to develop and grow bike riding in the region.

“The Shire is pleased to see the State Government invest in infrastructure in our shire,” she said.

“This project will assist in developing tourism and active lifestyles for our residents and visitors to the area.

“Lake Leschenaultia is one of our jewels in the crown and for visitors to be able to come to our region and complete a 2km ride from Chidlow to the lake will hopefully boost tourism in the area and give residents more flexibility and choice for places to ride in the shire.”

Residents are invited to submit any questions or comments they may have about this project via the  Engage Mundaring website
