On Saturday 15 April, Shire of Mundaring took out the award in the 'Local Government Best Practice Category' at the Master Builders –Commonwealth Bank Housing Excellence in construction, Housing and Regional Awards program.

The awards program is presented each year to showcase and award members who demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship, commitment to building excellence and upholding the highest professional standard.

Shire President James Martin said the award and recognition was well deserved and a reflection of the professionalism of the Building Services team.

“The team was nominated for the same award in 2022 and came very close to winning. It was gratifying to learn they had won this time around,” he said.

 

“The Shire and its community places environmental sustainability high on its list of priorities and the Building Services team has exceeded in balancing these values against statutory building requirements.”

The Master Builders-Commonwealth Bank Excellence awards are the pinnacle of awards in the housing and construction industry.
