Please note:

  • All animals need to be registered to be released from the pound
  • Pound fees of $140 for the initial day apply and $15 for subsequent days.

Discounted fees apply if your dog is registered and microchipped or if your cat is registered, microchipped and sterilised at the time of impoundment.

Any animals unclaimed after impoundment process are transferred to Rescue and rehoming organisations The Shire do not directly accept enquiries for Adoption or Foster of animals
