Cr Prapti Mehta has lived in Hovea with her family for over eight years. She has 18+ years’ experience in local government having worked at both the Cities of Joondalup and Stirling and then at the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council.
Cr Mehta holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Bachelor of Education, Public Sector Management and Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management.
Her goals as Councillor are:
• Focussing on conserving the environment, protecting biodiversity and effectively managing waste.
• Building a community that is safe, healthy, inclusive, and where each individual feels valued and respected.
• Supporting volunteers, community groups and businesses in achieving their goals; and
• Addressing challenges brought on by natural disasters and climate change, promoting resilience and preparedness.
Cr Mehta believes in open communication and being accessible and approachable. She is dedicated to listening actively, taking a collaborative approach, and keeping the community informed every step of the way.
She looks forward to the next four years as Councillor and helping create a positive impact on our environment and the lives of everyone who lives, works and recreates in our shire.
Cr Mehta currently serves on the following Council Committees:

In addition to her roles on Council Committees, Cr Mehta is the Deputy Zone Delegate to the Western Australian Local Government Association (East Metropolitan Zone).

Cr Neridah Zlatnik has supported and promoted local community initiatives and activities in the Shire for over 20 years, as a volunteer and as a Director and Executive Officer of the Mundaring Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank.
With a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Public Relations) and more than 25 years of experience in community engagement, volunteer and event management and corporate governance, across a range of industries, Neridah is an advocate for the importance of volunteers and initiatives that support connected, resilient communities. She believes Council has a role in enabling a more collaborative approach to community projects and planning.
As a Council member, her interests are economic development, youth initiatives, showcasing our arts, culture and environment, emergency preparedness and sustainable and considered development to meet the needs of residents.
