The Lake currently has 14 canoes, two single-person kayaks, and five stand up paddle boards which are available for hire.
Opening days and times
Canoe, Kayak and Stand Up Paddle Board hire is closed for winter and will reopen 26 September.
Equipment hire times are between 10.30am and 4pm on weekends, public holidays and every day throughout the summer school holidays (except Christmas Day). The hire shed is located at the southern end of the main beach area.
Please note:
- The latest time for half hour hire is 3.30pm
- The latest time for a full hour hire is 3pm
- Equipment hire will be closed during periods of inclement weather (inclement weather includes forecast storms, heavy rain and strong winds)
- Canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board hire is not available on Christmas Day
Equipment hire cost
Equipment hire includes life jacket use. Canoes can accommodate maximum 3 people. Stand up paddle boards and kayaks are for one person.
- $17 for 30 minutes
- $27 for one hour
Payment is by card only, no cash is taken.
Equipment hire requirements
Hirers must be aged over 16 and competent swimmers. Children are allowed in canoes, but they must be accompanied by a person over 16 who is responsible to look after them. There is no storage facility for valuables at the equipment hire shed, so please make other arrangements. Kayaks have a weight limit of 130kg.
Group bookings
Group bookings for equipment can be made outside of normal operating hours.
Full payment is required at the time of booking. Groups wishing to book canoes outside of usual hire operating times will be required to provide their own public liability insurance cover.
