Join passionate habitat gardeners, Rachel and Mike Green, for a practical, beautifully illustrated, and entertaining talk on creating habitat gardens in the Perth Hills. They will provide plenty of practical tips for different wildlife and great local plant ideas, illustrated by stunning wildlife photographs. Discover the key principles of habitat gardening to fit any space and be inspired by real local examples!
Rachel and Mike bring years of hands-on experience from developing a 6-acre “land for wildlife” property which they shared with a mob of seven kangaroos and 69 bird species to a very small garden where they’ve swapped the roos for quendas! They have proven that even the smallest space, whether a balcony, courtyard or small garden can still provide successful and safe wildlife habitat and be beautiful. Rachel and Mike’s habitat garden was featured on Gardening Australia in August 2025 and in an 8-page spread in Gardening Australia Magazine in September 2025.
Discover how to create a beautiful garden in the Shire of Mundaring and beyond - all while providing a safe haven for wildlife and enjoying your success.
