Thursday 14th May 2026
(Multiple Dates Between Thursday 14th May 2026 & Thursday 28th May 2026)
(For adults)
Have you thought about writing your life story, or that of a family member, but aren’t sure of the best way to tell it? Or perhaps you attended Melinda Tognini’s recent introductory life writing workshop and would like the opportunity to develop your ideas further.
Through practical writing prompts and hints, Melinda will show you how to write a story others want to read. The workshop program will help you decide whether to start small or aim for a family saga, learn how the narrative elements of fiction can benefit real life stories, uncover possible themes, and consider the ethics of writing about yourself and other people.
Bookings are essential via Humanitix. Places are $50 each. Places are limited in this small group workshop.
Your ticket fee covers the following session:
Week 1: Thursday 14 May, 10am-12pm
Week 2: Thursday 21 May, 10am-12pm
Week 3: Thursday 28 may, 10am-12pm
Light refreshments will be available. You are encouraged to bring your own cup for tea/coffee or water.
Cancellations: More than 2 working days before the scheduled short course start date (14 May) - full refund (less admin processing fee). No refunds will be issued for non-attendance of individual sessions, or for cancellations less than 2 working days before short course start date.
