Tuesday 28th April 2026
Shire of Mundaring Libraries is pleased to host this workshop presented by Midvale Hub Parenting Service Perth (North East).
This workshop is for parents and carers of children aged 0-12 years.
Protective Behaviours is a personal safety program that teaches children skills and strategies to recognise and respond to unsafe situations.
By sharing Protective Behaviours with your child, you will be helping to develop lifelong skills of assertiveness, self-confidence, problem-solving, communication, and resilience.
The program is underpinned by two core themes:
-
"We all have the right to feel safe at all times."
This theme emphasises the inherent right of every individual, especially children, to feel safe in their environments.
-
"We can talk with someone about anything, no matter what it is."
This theme fosters open communication, assuring children that they can discuss any topic with a trusted adult without fear of judgment.
(Parents may bring babies under 5 months, but this session is not suitable for children to attend.)
Bookings are essential via Humanitix. Places are limited.
Light refreshments will be available.
Let us know if you have any access requirements.
Please remember to cancel your booking via Humanitix or by contacting the library on 9290 6780 or mills@mundaring.wa.gov.au if you are unable to attend on the day. Places can be released for someone else to enjoy.
