The Glen Forrest Jump Track is complete and ready to ride, delivering a bold, high-octane space for action, movement and connection in the heart of the Hills community.
Located beside Morgan John Morgan Park, the $370,000 Jump Track is the result of extensive community involvement, shaped by local riders, residents and the Glen Forrest Residents and Ratepayers Association from the earliest stages of planning through to delivery.
Designed as a fast, flowing and technically challenging jump track, the final outcome reflects strong community feedback calling for a more dynamic riding experience. Featuring big jumps, rollers and progressive lines, the track caters to confident riders looking for speed, airtime and skill development, while remaining grounded in safety and progression.
The project was delivered by Common Ground Trails, the team behind the popular Darlington Pump Track, with funding support from the State Government through the Community Sport and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF).
As part of the build, material reuse was incorporated into the project, with some of the dirt used to form the jumps sourced from the Brown Park Oval carpark redevelopment. This approach reflects Shire of Mundaring’s focus on sustainability and reducing waste by reusing materials across projects where practical.
Shire President Paige McNeil said the Jump Track reflects the energy, creativity and determination of the Glen Forrest community.
“This track is fast, fun and full of life, just like the young people and families who helped shape it,” President McNeil said.
“It’s a place to ride hard, learn new skills and spend time together outdoors. We’re proud to deliver a facility that our community asked for and helped design.”
Throughout the design process, the Shire worked closely with the Glen Forrest Residents and Ratepayers Association, local riders and nearby residents to ensure the track responded to community expectations and suited its bushland setting.
The Glen Forrest Jump Track will officially open on Saturday 21 February 2026 with a community launch event from 5pm to 7pm. The event will feature local rider demonstrations, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food and music, celebrating the delivery of the latest Shire of Mundaring community project.
Community members are invited to attend, watch local talent in action and experience the Jump Track firsthand.
The Glen Forrest Jump Track is another example of the Shire of Mundaring working in partnership with its community to deliver vibrant, active spaces that support healthy lifestyles and local connection.
This project forms part of the WA Government’s PlayOn WA initiative, which is delivering 2,030 community sport and recreation infrastructure items across Western Australia by 2030.
