The Shire is inviting comment on its draft (revised) Heritage List. The main purpose of which is to consider elevating places from its Local Heritage Survey into the Heritage List. This gives the place recognition and protection under the local planning scheme.

Based upon recent advice received from Heritage Council WA a local Heritage List is now able to include sites identified under a local heritage survey as a Category 3, in addition to Category 1 and 2 sites. The draft Heritage List currently being advertised proposes the inclusion of such sites.

The draft Heritage List is available to view at the following locations:

• Online, via the Public Consultation section on the Shire’s website: www.mundaring.wa.gov.au
• The Shire’s Administration Building (7000 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring)
• Albert Facey Memorial Library (1 Nichol Street, Mundaring)
• Katharine Susannah Prichard Library (119/135 Scott Street, Helena Valley)
• The Hub of the Hills (8 Craig Street, Mundaring)

Submissions on the draft Heritage List can be made until 4.00pm on Friday 3 October 2025 via:
