ANZAC Youth Parade & Service

Chidlow & District RSL in conjunction with N Class Destroyers Association and the Shire of Mundaring are hosting an Inaugural ANZAC Youth Parade and Service on Tuesday 21st April 2026 at 10:30am. There will be approximately 150 students, from twelve primary schools within the Mundaring Shire and Northam Shire, participating in this special ANZAC commemoration service which will be MC'd by the head students from Chidlow PS. Special guests Captain Ken Burleigh CO HMAS Stirling and Commander Phil Orchard RAN(Retd) will address the children in the formal service. It is hoped that the success of this first service will ensure that it can be held again in the following years.

The students will march down the length of Memorial Avenue, turn left onto Thomas Street and right onto the Chidlow Village Green. They will be accompanied by ex-service men and women and the 10th Light Horse Regiment. Following the parade there will be a formal seated ANZAC service. Students from a variety of schools will be participating in the service, from MC 'ing and raising flags to reciting poems.
