Wednesday 4th February 2026

(For adults)

Local wildflowers can make beautiful pot plants, whatever size of garden or space you have. Learn how to grow them, the types of pots to choose, and which local plants grow best. Join us for this highly interactive, informative and fun talk with local plant and bird enthusiasts Rachel and Mike Green.

You’ll also discover where to get the plants, the best pots available, and where to place them. Gain tips on watering, fertilising, propagating and even slug management. All supported by beautiful and inspiring photographs and examples - and even a wicking pot demonstration.

Rachel and Mike only have a small garden, but they supplement it with over 190 pots including 76 wicking pots and grow glorious displays of local wildflowers and plants. Their garden featured on Gardening Australia in August and in an 8-page spread in Gardening Australia magazine in September 2025. Their flowers are that good!

Whether you have a courtyard, small garden or a hectare, discover how to grow beautiful local wildflowers in pots and bring more colour and birds to your home.

Bookings are essential for this free event via Humanitix.

Light refreshments will be available. You are encouraged to bring your own keep cup for tea/coffee or water.
