Makuru Magic: Water Heals Country with Dr Simon Cherriman

The trend of cooler, wet evenings that begins in Djeran intensifies during Makuru when cold fronts from the coast bring much-needed rain to the south-west. The dry Perth Hills landscape can finally "exhale" as water sources are replenished, creeks start gushing and larger water bodies refill. This change in resources kicks off the breeding cycle for many species, including wildflowers, frogs, birds and mammals. Join Simon Cherriman for the third in this series of environmental information sessions around the Six Noongar Seasons.

Bookings are essential for this free event via Humanitix. Light refreshments will be available. You are encouraged to bring your own keep cup for tea/coffee or water.

Please let us know if you have any access requirements.
