Notice is hereby given that at its Ordinary Council Meeting held on 10 March 2026, the Shire of Mundaring resolved to advertise for public comment the following draft Local Planning Policies (LPP):
- Signage and Advertisements Local Planning Policy
- Exemptions from Requiring Development Approval Local Planning Policy
The purpose of the draft Signage and Advertisements LPP is to define signage and advertisements that are exempt from requiring development approval, establish general requirements applying to signage and advertisements, and provide guidance for the determination of applications for non-exempt signage and advertisements within the Shire of Mundaring.
The purpose of the draft Exemptions from Requiring Development LPP is to exempt certain works which are not already identified within the planning framework as exempt within the Shire of Mundaring.
The draft policies can be viewed on the Shire’s website: https://engage.mundaring.wa.gov.au.
Printed copies of the draft policies are also available at the following locations:

- Albert Facey Memorial Library (1 Nichol Street, Mundaring)

Submissions must be made in writing and lodged by 4.00pm on Friday 17 April 2026. Submissions can be submitted via:
