Perth Hills producers have continued to cement the region’s reputation as one of Western Australia’s most respected destinations for distilleries and wineries, taking home top honours at the 2025 Perth Royal Distilled Spirits Awards and the Perth Hills Wine Show.

Mahogany Inn & Distillery led the way at the 2025 Perth Royal Distilled Spirits Awards, earning Gold for its bold Joe’s Jump Vodka, along with Bronze medals for Settlers Sin Gin and New World Gin. Beelu Forest Distilling Company also received recognition, taking home Silver for its zesty Saprock Limoncello and Bronze for Saprock Vodka.

Meanwhile, Lion Mill Vineyards impressed judges at the Shire of Mundaring sponsored 2025 Perth Hills Wine Show, proudly receiving the prestigious John Walsh Memorial Trophy for Best Shiraz for its 2024 vintage. The wine was also awarded Gold for its balance, rich fruit character and elegant finish.

Shire President Paige McNeil congratulated the award-winning producers and said the results reinforced the Perth Hills’ growing profile as a destination for premium wine and spirits.

“These awards recognise the exceptional talent, creativity and dedication of local makers who continue to put the Perth Hills on the map,” President McNeil said.

“Our region is fast becoming one of Western Australia’s most respected destinations for boutique distilleries and wineries. From our rich soils to the passion of our producers, everything about the Perth Hills lends itself to quality and craftsmanship.”

President McNeil said the awards also highlighted the community’s strong connection to local produce and sustainable business growth.

“We’re proud to celebrate the success of these producers and the way they reflect the innovative spirit of our community.”
