Restricted Burning Period starts Monday 6 May

The shire will enter the Restricted Burning period from Monday 6 May. Permits won't be available, but conditions apply. Visit the Burning Periods and Fire Danger Rating page to read the conditions.

Prohibited Burning Period Extended

The Prohibited Burning Period for the Shire has been extended until Sunday 5 May. To stay up to date with Burning Periods, Fire Danger Hazards, Total Fire Bans and Harvest and Vehicle Movement Bans, sign up to the Bushfire Information SMS Tool. Internal Combustion heaters for home heating may still be used during the prohibited burning period.

Public Notice: Grants Selection Committee Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a Grants Selection Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday 16 April 2024, commencing at 5.15pm in the Council Chamber at the Shire Administration Building, 7000 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider applications for:

1. Community Event, Matching and Milestone Event grants

2. InspireArts Community Creativity & Cultural Fund

3. Youth Engagement Partnership Fund.
