Sculpture Park Amphitheatre and Event Space Upgrade

Our Vision

The Sculpture Park Amphitheatre and Event Space Upgrade will transform Mundaring Sculpture Park into a vibrant, connected and welcoming community space.

The project will create a flexible park that supports everyday use while also accommodating events, markets and performances.

It will celebrate the park’s unique character, strengthen connections across the site, and create a place where people come together to relax, explore and connect.

Why This Project Matters

Mundaring Sculpture Park is a well-loved community space, but it is currently underutilised and lacks the infrastructure needed to support a broader range of activities.

This project will improve how people move through and use the park. It will better connect key areas such as the playground, amphitheatre, Station Master’s House and Scouts Hall.

The upgrade will also support local events, tourism and community life. It will create a destination that encourages people to stay longer, rather than simply pass through.

The project is part of a broader vision to revitalise the town centre and strengthen Mundaring as a place to live, visit and connect.

What’s Planned

The Sculpture Park Upgrade will introduce new features and improve existing infrastructure to create a more functional and engaging space.

Planned improvements include:

  • A new or enhanced amphitheatre and event space
  • Upgraded public amenities, including a toilet block
  • New seating and gathering spaces
  • Play elements to support families and children
  • Improved connections between key areas within the park
  • Infrastructure to support markets, performances and community events
  • Spaces that recognise and celebrate the Munda Biddi Trail
  • Opportunities to reflect local stories, heritage and culture

The design is being developed with input from the community and key user groups, supported by Plus Studio.
