Our Vision
The Fraser Park Playground upgrade will create a vibrant, welcoming and well-used neighbourhood space for local families.
The project will deliver a playground shaped by the community. It will support outdoor play, encourage social connection, and provide a safe and inclusive space for children of all ages.
By working closely with residents, the Shire is creating a park that reflects how the space is used and valued by the community.

Why This Project Matters
Fraser Park is well located within walking distance of homes and local schools. However, the existing playground is basic and does not meet the needs of the growing community.
Residents have told the Shire the space needs more variety, better shade, and improved play opportunities for children of different ages.
This project responds directly to that feedback. It will help create a more engaging and functional park that supports families, encourages outdoor activity, and strengthens community connection.
What’s Planned
The project will upgrade the playground at Fraser Park in Greenmount through a co-design process with the community.
The upgrade will focus on:
- More engaging and nature-based play elements
- Improved comfort, including shade and seating
- Play opportunities for both younger and older children
- A layout that supports how families already use the space
The final design will be shaped by community input gathered through workshops, pop-ups, school engagement and online feedback.
