Shire of Mundaring proposes to make the Health Local Law 2026 under the Local Government Act 1995.
The purpose of the proposed local law is to amend the Shire's existing Health Local Law to align with current local government and public health requirements, remove outdated provisions and improve the clarity and administration of health-related controls within the Shire.
The effect of the proposed local law is to provide updated and clearer requirements for matters affecting public health within the Shire, support consistent administration and enforcement, and ensure the local law operates effectively alongside relevant State legislation.
A copy of the proposed Health Local Law 2026 may be inspected at the Shire Administration Centre, 7000 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring; at any public library within the Shire of Mundaring during normal opening hours and is available on the Shire's website.
Submissions on the proposed local law may be made to the Chief Executive Officer and must be received by 5pm on 26 October 2026.
