Why This Project Matters
Wooroloo Hall is a vital community space, home to local groups including the Wooroloo Cuppa, Chats and Crafts Group, the Wooroloo Volunteer Bushfire Brigade, and the Shire of Mundaring Community Library.
These upgrades will:
- Improve comfort for all users with new flooring and insulation
- Provide a modern, functional kitchen for community events
- Refresh toilet facilities for improved accessibility and hygiene
- Ensure the building is weatherproof and well-maintained for years to come
What’s Planned
The project includes a complete refresh of the Hall:
Internal Works:
- New flooring throughout with improved insulation
- A brand-new kitchen
- Refurbished male and female toilets
External Works:
- New roof, gutters, and downpipes
- New ceiling and roof insulation
- Replacement of eaves and fascia
Project Timeline
June to October 2026
During construction, affected community groups will be temporarily relocated to the neighbouring Wooroloo Volunteer Bushfire Brigade building, allowing activities to continue with minimal disruption.
Community Engagement
The Shire is committed to keeping the community informed throughout this project. We are working closely with the groups who regularly use Wooroloo Hall to ensure a smooth transition during the works period.
Updates will be provided through the Shire website and direct communication with affected user groups.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Hall be closed during works?
Yes, the Hall will be closed for the duration of the refurbishment (June to October 2026). Community groups will be relocated to the neighbouring Brigade building during this time.
Will my group still be able to meet?
Yes. The Wooroloo Volunteer Bushfire Brigade building next door will host relocated groups, so activities can continue as normal.
How long will the works take?
Works are scheduled to be completed within the June to October 2026 period.
How is the project funded?
The project is funded through the existing Shire of Mundaring Council budget.
