About Permits to Burn

Permits to Burn record the basic information about the burn such as the applicant’s name and address, the location and nature of the burn.

Apply for a Permit to Burn - for piles only (not running fires)

Please ensure the top section of the permit is completed in full. There is contact information on the top left hand corner of the online form if require any further information.

Please note:

  • If you require a permit for the weekend, please have your application submitted by midday Thursday
  • If unable to submit using submit button please email completed form to firesafety@mundaring.wa.gov.au
  • If you are unable to submit the Permit to Burn Form, please contact your Local Fire Brigade
  • We are in the process of refining the online permit form and appreciate your patience while we make these changes. 

Apply for a Permit to Burn - running fires

A Permit to Burn for a running fire, must be obtained from your Local Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade

Important notes about Permits to Burn (please read)

  • The permit is not valid until you receive confirmation from a Shire of Mundaring Fire Control Officer
  • Permits will only be processed during office hours 9am until 4:30pm Monday-Friday
  • Your permit may not be approved on the day that you apply for it/send it
  • Permits will only be valid for 7 days (the 7 days will commence from the time the approved permit has been emailed to the applicant)
  • A Shire Fire Control Officer may contact you if further information is required
  • Your local brigade will also be sent a copy of your permit
  • Brigades/or Shire Fire Control Officers may if required visit your property to ensure conditions of the  permit are being met
  • There are standard conditions on your permit that must be adhered to. If any special conditions are required, these will be mentioned under the 'Office use
  • Only/Special Conditions' please read all conditions prior to ticking the box and typing your name. Once this has been done you are accepting these conditions.
