The 2025 Local Government Election results for Shire of Mundaring have been declared.
The election determined councillors for the Central, East, South and West wards. Councillors Luke Ellery and Ben Heptinstall were elected unopposed to represent the South Ward.

Central Ward
Toni Strutt – four-year term
East Ward
David Grills – four-year term
South Ward
Cr Luke Ellery – elected unopposed (four-year term)
Cr Ben Heptinstall – elected unopposed (two-year term)
West Ward
Jo Cicchini – four-year term
Matt Woods – two-year term
Newly elected Councillors will be sworn in at a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday 21 October.
Shire President Paige McNeil thanked all candidates and said the new Council will continue to work towards the community’s shared vision, outlined in the Council Plan 2024–2034.
“I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to vote and have their say in this year’s election,” President McNeil said.
“Community engagement is central to how we make decisions, and we value the trust our residents place in us to represent their views. We look forward to building on the progress already made towards delivering community-focused projects for our community. Our new councillors bring diverse experience and a shared commitment to the values and aspirations of our residents.”
