Restricted Burning Period starts Monday 6 May

The shire will enter the Restricted Burning period from Monday 6 May. Permits won't be available, but conditions apply. Visit the Burning Periods and Fire Danger Rating page to read the conditions.

Prohibited Burning Period Extended

The Prohibited Burning Period for the Shire has been extended until Sunday 5 May. To stay up to date with Burning Periods, Fire Danger Hazards, Total Fire Bans and Harvest and Vehicle Movement Bans, sign up to the Bushfire Information SMS Tool. Internal Combustion heaters for home heating may still be used during the prohibited burning period.

Bulk Verge Collections

The Shire will start its annual Bulk Verge Collection service from Monday 14 August to Monday 2 October.

Collections are scheduled to take place as follows:

Midvale and Swan View

Monday 14 August

Bellevue, Boya and Helena Valley

Monday 21 August

Greenmount and Hovea

Monday 28 August

Darlington and Glen Forrest

Monday 4 September

Mahogany Creek and Mundaring

Monday 11 September

Parkerville and Stoneville

Monday 18 September

Mount Helena and Sawyers Valley

Monday 25 September

Bailup, Beechina, Chidlow, Gorrie, The Lakes and Wooroloo

Monday 2 October

Please do not place your items on your verge more than seven days ahead of the collection date for your area.
